Kielder Forest Rally Report

We kept it out of the trees this time and finished 2nd in class. Now we have a rather fetching trophy/candle holder for the office.

Thanks to Ruth and George (you might recognise him from our videos, or maybe not as he’s not wearing a Teletubby costume or his pink thong that he always insists on using) for servicing – 5 days before the event the engine was in pieces and we didn’t have a working steering rack. Chris and George did a lot to get the car ready. Also a very big thank you to the organisers, marshalls and volunteers from the Kielder Forest Rally.

For those of you with too much time and a low enough boredom threshold we’ve started adding in car videos to the LBD Rally Team YouTube channel.

A special shout out to friend of LBD John Hill who came to spectate and even made his own LBD flag!

Now, back to some real work, pass the valinch!

Chris in the driving seat and Andrew navigation.

Heading home with a trophy each.

What a crew!

A well earned brew before heading home… just another 5hrs more driving to go!
