2012 Dalrymple (Ailsa Bay).

1^st fill Oloroso Sherry Butt – full maturation

56.8%vol 70cl
“Blended Malt” – this cask was apparently teaspooned, meaning we were unable to call it a single malt.

The good news is though that you get excellent whisky for a lower price.
We’re not allowed to say teaspooned on the label either, but there’s a not so subtle hint in the design. We’ve added a granite teaspoon to indicate this isn’t really a blend and granite because Ailsa Craig, that the Ailsa Bay distillery looks onto, is the source of all the granite for the world’s curling stones.

Nose – Obvious sherry bomb so difficult to be original with the tasing notes here! Raisins, dark chocolate, cognac
Palate – Soreen malt loaf, tinned prunes, fresh figs
Finish – cinnamon rolls
