Aberdeenshire Foraged Gin
A one off batch, foraged from Bennachie and distilled especially for the Bailies of Bennachie to celelbrate their 5oth anniversary.
The Bailies of Bennachie is a wonderful charity who look after the iconic Aberdeenshire hill. Their brief is broad and vital, covering access, conservation, education and archaeology on the hill.
This gin is produced using gorse, heather, blaeberries, longonberries and wild raspberries, all foraged from the slopes of Bennachie.
£5 from the sale of every bottle goes directly to The Bailies of Bennachie, to keep the footpaths in good fettle, preserve the flora and fauna and teach us more about the history of Bennachie.
Most of our marketing materials feature Bennachie in the background, it is the most prominent hill in Aberdeenshire. We wak there, ride our bikes there and forage there, we really wanted to give something back so working with the Bailies to develop the recipe and ensure what we foraged was sustainable, we produced a Bennachie Edition of our Aberdeenshire Foraged Gin.
Refreshing, bright and fruity. It’s like sitting on the hill on a still summer evening, breathing in the gorse and listening to the birds on the moor and in the trees.
The label follows the silhouette of the hill and the purple of the heather, conveniently it’s also the Bailies logo….
