Description
#projectQUERCUSACER
LBD GIN that has spent 6 months in a Maple Syrup cask.
Yes, MAPLE SYRUP CASK. Birch sap in the distillate, maple sap in the cask, boom DOUBLE SAP (copyright Julian Vallis).
Part of our Experimental Spirit Series, this is cask strength, single cask, non chill filtered, natural colour, no added nothing, single cask gin. The label is a lumberjack shirt, because it’s oak-ey. There are 400 bottles from the cask.
Probably the closest we’ll get to an old tom style but it’s still a dry distilled gin with no added sugar or syrup.
This gin was distilled using our standard LBD GIN recipe and then matured for a minimum of 6 months in the maple syrup cask.
50.2%abv, will liven up those pancakes.
Like all of our experimental spirit series bottles, this is a one off project, no to be repeated.
Tasting Notes
Nose – Pancakes and maple syrup with a side of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice.
Palate – Lemon, juniper and gingerbread.
Finish – delayed action maple syrup, then more syrup, very long.
