What is Aberdeenshire Single Malt?
Aberdeenshire Single Malt is a core whisky, in the LBD style: full transparency, passion for the spirit, a whisky worth caring about.
It’s taken us a long time, longer than expected, but we wanted to get it right.
Maybe it’s another LBD bottle for your glittering collection, maybe it’s a ‘gateway dram’ to our single cask releases or maybe you’ve simply picked it up as a really decent, honest sharing whisky — one that you can come back to, time and time again.
No matter what the reason on your side, for us Aberdeenshire Single Malt has always been about making something that proudly represents Aberdeenshire — the place where we make spirits and the place where we live our lives.

We are the whisky makers
We didn’t mash, ferment, or distil the new make spirit for Aberdeenshire Single Malt — that happened ten minutes down the road at Glen Garioch Distillery — but from the moment that spirit left the still and made the short journey to LBD HQ to mature under our watch, it’s been a Little Brown Dog whisky.
As whisky makers, we have monitored each cask, moved spirit between wood, re-racked casks, devised the vatting recipe and decided exactly when our whisky was ready.
We nosed it, tasted it, debated it, and finally bottled it (and labelled it, and boxed it, and shouted about it).
