It is no accident that we live and work in the north
east of Scotland, close to the heart of the greatest
distilling area in the world. Our passion for spirits
began with whisky. For us whisky is not just a drink,
it is culturally significant.
We love great whisky, and we want to share that with
everyone. We want to introduce you to whisky where you
can taste the distiller’s skill. Where every decision
is taken with the upmost consideration and care; from
the choice of grain and selecting the cask to store it
in, to how long to age it and then the final decision
to bottle it.
We only bottle whisky that excites us,
whisky we would buy ourselves, Whisky
that we are genuinely passionate about.

There is a difference between a distiller and an independent bottler. A distiller is looking for consistency in production.
An independent bottler is looking for the inconsistencies, the hidden
gems and highlights that deserve to be singled out and shared with the world.

Aberdeenshire Single Malt
A core whisky, but in the LBD style: full transparency, passion for the spirit, a whisky worth caring about.
A spirit that proudly represents Aberdeenshire, where we make it. Aberdeenshire Single Malt could be a gateway dram to our single cask releases but most of all it’s just a really decent, honest sharing whisky. Something tasty to share, at a fair price.
The overall recipe won’t change batch to batch but we expect there to be some small batch variation, which we want to celebrate.

We try to keep it interesting, seeking out new or unusual distilleries, but always something that we enjoy drinking ourselves. This means travelling around Scotland and also to other countries, working directly with distilleries when we can. We enjoy sharing these journeys with you. The naming of our releases, the label designs and our home made launch ‘videos’ are usually inspired by our travels. We take whisky very seriously, but marketing not so much.

No longer considered the poor relation to single malt, blends can add depth, complexity and balance and often at a more affordable price point. Our Wee Mongrel blended whiskies are amongst our highest regarded and most sought after releases, usually with good age and always fully sherry matured.
There is an art in blending that’s often under valued. Our blends are created for sharing and enjoying. Whisky created for an evening when you want to share a bottle with your mates but still want to drink great whisky that you’ll all enjoy.
